MoCo Fully Vaccinates 10% Of Residents; Adds 126 Cases Overnight
SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County registered 126 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, also like two more deaths related to the virus.
The latest additions push the entire number of confirmed cases and deaths within the county to 64,399 and 1,392, respectively.

The official fatality count doesn't include the 45 others whose deaths were linked to the virus but never confirmed by a lab test. For now, they're considered "probable deaths."
Montgomery County — which is home to roughly 1 million people — continues to possess the very best number of deaths within the state. It also has the second-highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 74,851, consistent with the newest figures.
Across Maryland, there are 390,490 cases, 7,832 confirmed deaths, and 182 "probable deaths." Of the 788 people currently being hospitalized statewide, 209 are within the medical care unit (ICU).
As of Thursday, Maryland has administered 1,736,455 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Among those, 1,096,241 were first doses and 598,647 were second doses.
In Montgomery County, 207,559 residents (19.7 percent) have received their first dose. a complete of 105,236 residents (10 percent) have already gotten their second and final shot.
