Lubbock hosting more COVID-19 vaccination clinics

 The City of Lubbock Public Health Department will continue conducting COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the week at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.


The clinics will run Monday through Thursday and Saturday in the week and can have a continued specialization in individuals meeting the 1A, 1B, 1C, and Teacher guidelines as set forth by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Scheduling for the town of Lubbock Public Health Department vaccination clinics, for those that fall under Phase 1A, 1B, 1C, or are teachers, will open at 10 a.m. Monday.

Please note that individuals 50-64 years old (Phase 1C) are going to be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine beginning Monday.

All eligible individuals seeking a vaccination are encouraged to form a meeting.

Those wishing to form a meeting by phone can do so by calling the town of Lubbock Public Health Department at 806.775.2933.

Those wishing to schedule their second dose can do so by visiting mylubbock.info/dose2 or by calling the general public Health Department.

Appointments are limited and walk-ups are highly discouraged. Individuals with appointments are going to be given priority, and walk-ups aren't guaranteed a vaccine.

Individuals needing mobility assistance got to call the general public Health Department for a meeting.

The city also conducted a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday.

During this clinic, 2,268 people received vaccinations.

The following may be a breakdown of clinic results since vaccines became available to the general public Health Department:

December 2020 - 2,086 vaccinations administered

January 2021 - 20,347 vaccinations: 18,007 first doses, 2,340 second doses

February 2021 - 33,342 vaccinations: 17,911 first doses, 15,431second doses

March 2, 2021 - 2,408 vaccinations: 744 first doses, 1,664 second doses

March 3, 2021 - 2,524 vaccinations: 1,033 first doses, 1,491 second doses

March 4, 2021 - 2,912 vaccinations: 1,432 first doses, 1,480 second doses

March 6, 2021 - 2,570 vaccinations: 1,304 first doses, 1,266 second doses

March 9, 2021 - 2,223 vaccinations: 978 first doses, 1,245 second doses

March 10, 2021 - 2,158 vaccinations: 930 first doses, 1,228 second doses

March 11, 2021 - 2,541 vaccinations: 1,231 first doses, 1,310 second doses

March 13, 2021 - 2,100 vaccinations: 948 first doses, 1,152 second doses

March 16, 2021 - 2,358 vaccinations: 1,090 first doses, 1,268 second doses

March 17, 2021 - 1,715 vaccinations: 965 first doses, 750 second doses

March 18, 2021 - 2,274 vaccinations: 1,144 first doses, 1,130 second doses

March 20, 2021 - 2,268 vaccinations: 1,065 first doses, 1,203 second doses

Through the Lubbock Public Health Department, 50,868 individuals have received their first COVID-19 vaccinations, and 32,958 have received their second doses. Additional clinics are going to be held in the week.
