Sedgwick County residents in phases 3 and 4 can start scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments

 Sedgwick County, Kan. (KSNW)– Starting Sunday, Sedgwick County residents in Phases 3 and 4 are going to be eligible to urge the COVID-19 vaccine. Last week, Gov. Laura Kelly announced she is going to open up availability to all or any Kansas who fall into Phases 3 and 4 of the COVID-19 vaccination plan.


Currently, Phase 3 includes people ages 16-64 with severe medical risks, like cancer, chronic renal disorder, COPD, mongolism, Heart conditions, Type 2 DM, Utility Workers, Logistics Workers, Water/Wastewater Workers, etc. For the complete list, click here.

Phase 4 includes residents ages 16-64 with medical risks like Asthma, CF, disease, Immunocompromised. For the complete list, click here.

According to the Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD), 95,684 people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The health department says 28,779 people are fully vaccinated.

SCHD’s COVID-19 vaccine clinics are open Monday through Saturday.

For residents who don't speak English or aren't comfortable speaking English, free interpreting services are available at the vaccine clinic to assist them to receive a vaccine.

If you schedule a meeting at 223 S. Main (former Wichita Library) for the morning of Thursday, March 25, please note that you simply are going to be receiving the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
